Windows 8: API PayPal for purchases in-apps

As part of the 2012 Microsoft Build conference, the devel oppeurs present learned a PayPal API for Windows 8 that allows them to use their payment system with applications in the Windows Store.

Through this API, developers will be able to integrate into their applications in-app purchases based PayPal, more than 100 million active accounts.

This availability is important for Microsoft as it can rely on a payment system known and established.

It should be noted, moreover, that when buying online update to Windows 8 Pro, PayPal transaction is possible.

Various apps have also been announced for soon such as a full app PayPal but also the arrival of Dropbox for storage and synchronization in the cloud. Microsoft SkyDrive will have competition.

Twitter will also offer application specially designed for Windows 8. Nevertheless, it will have to wait several months for it. Strangely, a Facebook app has not been mentioned - at least not yet - while Microsoft was an early investor in the social network.

A point also remains unclear. It is indeed not clear whether publishers will offer apps for Windows 8 and Windows RT. Currently, Google offers such as a search app for Windows 8, but not for RT Windows (Windows 8 for ARM).
