Facebook: failure and an attack claimed

On the evening of Thursday, Facebook users were unable to access the social network. A problem that did not affect the mobile version.

This failure has affected users in Europe and more particularly in Western Europe. Displaying his membership in the movement Anonymous, a man named Anonymous Own3r claimed an attack against Facebook.

An attack of Cross-site Request Forgery according to him. This type of attack is to operate a CRSF security vulnerability in order to execute queries unwanted unbeknownst to a user connected to a site via their browser.

If a problem has indeed been confirmed by Facebook, the social network has denied any attack. It evokes a DNS change within a test for traffic optimization.

This change has led to "temporary routing problems for some users." The last month, Anonymous claimed responsibility for an attack Own3r by distributed denial of service against the host and registrar Go Daddy has denied any act or any pirate attack.
