Windows XP: less than 500 days before the end

Announced some time ago, advanced support for Windows XP will end indeed to be April 14, 2014 in just under 500 days.

Once the end of this support, no more updated security patch or else will be offered by Microsoft, using the OS will become dangerous for normal users, but will report almost suicide for professional that computer security is of paramount importance.

Migration of the entire IT infrastructure to the latest OS seems unlikely, involving a movement of one million users per day. This is a new division of the world computer which is then expected.

Cleavage should be established in three points, a vast majority of users will choose to stay still on Windows XP, most individuals in the blink change should move towards Windows 8, the latest from Microsoft, while the workplace will naturally turn to Windows 7, more stable, more reliable and have already established a substantial basis on providing confidence with this target.

Microsoft has already anticipated migration delivered through the end of XP support since specific plan is already prepared to guide these users to Windows 8.

Thus, Microsoft expects to sell 400 million licenses of Windows 8 in the coming year, sales spontaneous migration and mixed.

Extended support for Windows XP has certainly played disfavor renewal OS for consumers, at least that's what Microsoft thinks indicating that the longevity of XP has already delayed the development of IT infrastructure and Windows 7 the coexistence of the three OS only undermine the comer. One way to explain the mixed results of Windows 8 launch.

However, Windows 7 is expected to continue to be sold until the end of XP support, after which it will no longer matter to the latecomer, each being forced to comply with the new batch of Windows.
