IE10 to less than 1% and lower Firefox

To Net Applications, Windows 8 has reached a market share of 1.72% at end-2012. However, Internet Explorer 10 - present in the OS - does not hang below the 1% and merely 0.96%.

This suggests that even with Windows 8 which has a prominent place, IE10 has much to do with competition from other browsers.

According to Net Applications, the world podium late 2012 coronation Family Internet Explorer to Firefox with 54.77% (19.82%) and Google Chrome (18.04%).

The last months of 2012, Internet Explorer has regained points, while Google Chrome has lost some feathers and ultimately rise again in December. Firefox has hovered around the 20% mark but eventually go under in December after rising in November.

Around the year 2012, IE displays a positive with 1.81 point. Firefox and Google Chrome, this is against -1.06 and -0.9 point.

The podium global desktop browsers prepared by Net Applications (Data 160 million unique visitors monthly on 40,000 sites) is different from that established by StatCounter (based on 15 billion page views).

In late 2012, as the podium gives StatCounter: Google Chrome (36.42%), Internet Explorer (30.78%) and Firefox (21.89%).

Especially, the trends are very different with a steady increase in Google Chrome throughout 2012, while the year is segmented into two parts for IE and Firefox. Tumble and stabilization for IE, then decline slightly higher for Firefox.
